Sidewalk is a creative real estate development firm based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We see potential where others see obsolescence and strongly believe in adaptive reuse—unlocking the hidden value in historic buildings rather than erasing them. Agency Art Lofts is a manifestation of this vision: an office-to-residential conversion that turns an overlooked structure into a new landmark for urban living.

Sidewalk’s unconventional approach to development includes valuing sustainability and history. We’re pioneers in office tower conversion; we helped save one of Canada’s top ten most at risk historical buildings from the wrecking ball; and we’ve been instrumental in the revitalization of downtown Dartmouth, carefully forging a vibrant community bursting with culture.
